My role in this challenge was to lead Research & Service Design Experience for end-to-end service design maritime software platform in a Startup agile environment.
The goal was to enable shipowners to maximize the commercial and operational potential of their assets and future-proof their operational efficiency, safety, reliability as digitization spreads across the industry and throughout the supply chain.
I stepped into a role of a voice of the customer bringing insights and intelligence to cross-functional teams in areas of Chartering, Crew Management, Fleet Management, Vessel Operations, Freight & Hire, Maintenance System, Safety, Sustainability & Compliance, Mater's App, and IoT.
Conducted field research on board of the vessel and client shadowing sessions.
Planned and run 100+ research interviews with clients, subject-matter experts, including 50+ special sessions with fleet Captains and Chief Engineers.
Organized sessions to collaborate with Product, SME, Data, Engineering, IoT, and Business stakeholders.
Worked closely with leads to evaluate the top opportunities, identify potential solutions, and contribute to the strategic roadmap.
Lead and Facilitated Design Thinking Workshops across different products, teams, stakeholders, and clients.
Designed and Build prototypes to test with clients and feedback relevant findings to product teams in collaboration with other product designers.
Together with design team I've created library of Personas, detailed Journey Maps, Workflows, Mind Maps, Wireframes, and Service Design Processes with full ownership of detailed research documentation on Confluence.
Assisted with the design team hiring process to find the right fit for our lean design team.
Received raving feedback on Lunch & Learn education presentations attended by co-workers, leadership and clients.
Delivered comprehensive Research and User Experience intel across projects that served as bonding component preventing silos and assumptions.
Stopped unsuitable tasks and features trying to sneak into the development sprints.
Not popular at given moment, but appreciated later after budgeting reviews.
